Well its over a month since my horrific sleep study. I still don't have my full voice back and sound much like a croaking frog as the day goes on. I got a copy of my sleep study - it was totally strange - part of it was me and part of it wasn't. That is frightening right there. i'd think i might be losing my mind but for the damage the first two hours on the machine did to my nasal passages and sinuses. Like the sleep tech quotes me as saying i use 2 litres of oxygen every day - i've never had supplemental oxygen in my life. And a couple of other written entries were no way what i recalled. What could've happened here? AND to make matters even more aggravating - i am due to go on medicare in june and the test was 20 minutes short of qualifying for medicare coverage. The upshot of it all is i had to get my dr to write an RX to return the machine and I have to get a new sleep test. My insurance won't cover it again so i have to wait for june. I have also put off the deviated septum surgery until june also.
I am now terrified of the whole thing. Can anyone recoomend a good sleep study facility along the maryland delaware border - wilmington, newark, elkton, middletown,? I sure won't go back to the place i went nor will i go to the supplier either.
Here's another mystery - why do i sleep better if i take a chewable calcium supplement just before lights out?
