Hello,

I realize that you should have a sleep study before removing yourself from CPAP, and CPAP withdrawal should me supervised by a doctor, but would an oxcimeter be of use?

I know that my CPAP supplier has home oxcimetry equipment he will send home with you with orders from the doctor. Then you just slip the oxygen monitor on your finger and the alarm goes off if your blood oxygen level falls below preset limit. It also records your oxygen level all night.

Speak to your doctor about this approach. It may ease your fear and allow you to learn if you still need CPAP.

Later,
Rolling Thunder
