I have undergone surgery twice since I started using BiPAP. Both times the surgeons and hospital staff were very cooperative in seeing to it that my respiratory support was put into use as soon as the esophageal airway was removed. Both times I had excellent results in recovery because my oxygen sats remained in the acceptable range. Both hospitals were quite pleased that I supplied my own equipment during my stay.
