I have Insomnia, that was first, then was recently diagnosed after 2 sleep studies with CPAP that I had mild sleep apnea and possibly now Narcolepsy, I am going to try to get another opinion on these sleep issues as suggested. But I also have RLS and am on Mirapex for it and it really seems to calm the legs down so I can sleep. I have had insomnia for 11 years, so in one aspect I don't get enough sleep and on the other side of the coin, I get too much, it's an odd combo but I have found that other people have suffered from these same problems, I did some research the other night and they can co-exist. First, try to get off the sleeping pills, those things are going to mess you up so badly that you are going to end up hooked but talk to your dr about that first, don't do it just because I said so. Some people just aren't equipped to handle sleeping pills. Like me, for instance, I can't take sleeping pills, NONE of them have had ANY effect on me and I have tried EVERY over the counter pill and every prescription plus samples the doctors could give me and nothing worked, so I simply gave up. My dr finally decided that with me having the insomnia for so long that I should have never been on a sleeping pill in the first place. If you have alot of sleeping disorders, you may be more like me and just not able to take sleeping pills and have them affect you so you can sleep.

I do wish that you can get some help, don't give up, no matter what, there is always an answer somewhere around the corner, you just have to find the right corner. Keep your chin up!
