Posted by D.H. on July 01, 2008 at 17:20:11:Rather than ask about the myriad of things that could go wrong when traveling with CPAP, I will ask if anybody had any problems traveling with CPAP or using it away from home?
Here are some possible problems, but please dont confine your answers to this list.
No electricity in hotel room or no electric sockets (i.e. all fixtures hardwired to wall).
Plugs shaped differently than was specified for the country(ies) visited.
Non-standard voltage (i.e. other than 100-125, or 220-250, or other than 50 or 60 cycles).
Power not provided all night.
Problems getting CPAP on plane or through customs.
Problems with hotel (i.e. being told that you cant use the machine by the hotel).
CPAP broken or stolen.
