Any travel problems to report?

Posted by D.H. on July 01, 2008 at 17:20:11:

Rather than ask about the myriad of things that could go wrong when traveling with CPAP, I will ask if anybody had any problems traveling with CPAP or using it away from home?

Here are some possible problems, but please don’t confine your answers to this list.
• No electricity in hotel room or no electric sockets (i.e. all fixtures hardwired to wall).
• Plugs shaped differently than was specified for the country(ies) visited.
• Non-standard voltage (i.e. other than 100-125, or 220-250, or other than 50 or 60 cycles).
• Power not provided all night.
• Problems getting CPAP on plane or through customs.
• Problems with hotel (i.e. being told that you can’t use the machine by the hotel).
• CPAP broken or stolen.
