You may also want to ask your doc about Astellin (I sound like a
commercial) but I found that to be the best thing for my
allergies. It's a nasal spray antihistamine; the way my doc
explained it to me was that antihistimine tablets don't really do
much for nasal congestion. I use that in conjunction with
nasacort aq.But it definitely will get better. Soon, you'll find it hard to sleep
without the mask on b/c it'll feel odd. If after a while the mask
is still bothering you, try some different ones on for size. I
never thought I'd like the ones that fit inside your nose a bit but
those worked best for me. I used to get water dripping on my
nose with the nose 'mask' and it drove me nuts--even with the
humidifier on its lowest setting it would collect condensation
and drip on my nose and wake me up. Good luck! I hope the
rest of the week shows improvements for you.
