Glad to hear you're taking all the right steps! That's great.

For me, the Astellin was like low-grade Afrin. Afrin can pretty
much open my nasal passages for about 10-12 hours, but there
is some jitteriness and you shouldn't use it for more than a few
days in a row--it can exacerbate the congestion. Astellin
doesn't do quite the same job, but it really helps me a lot. As
you can appreciate, CPAP doesn't do much if your nose is
blocked!

I'm not familiar with the ER feature on the cpap...but I hope it is
something helpful!
