Day 2 - Much better !
Thanks for all the kind advise. Last night was much better. At first it was hard because I was so exhausted I reached the point where sleeping was difficult, a bad headache and my body so tense I was fighting sleep ... so after an hour trying to sleep I got up and took a half of one of my wifes sleeping pills (which by the way she had to start on largely due to my constant snooring ...) I know I'm not really supposed to do that but sometimes its a lessor of evils. It really helped, I could feel my body "fighting" the CPAP and mask no matter how I tried to relax, but 30 minutes later I was letting go and sleeping like a baby. I awoke a few times to turn over, which is about 1/10 the amount I usually wake. Most of the time I didnt even notice I had the mask on, I actually started to enjoy the warm air from my exhalation warming up my nose for afew seconds then the fresh 'breeze' of the cooler air on the next breath.
One time I awoke sharply with a bunch of air blowing all over ... couldn't figure it out but I couldn't get it to stop so took off the mask and shut the machine down. But 10 minutes later I put it back on and it was fine. Sleep sound until 8:00, took off my mask and slept a little more until I woke up my wife by my snoring ... but hey we should have been up at 8 anyway :)

Yesterday due to the wonders of the internet I managed to hack into my S8 (they dont make that very hard ! I'm surprised how trivial it is to get to clinician setup mode ... I think my 8 year old could figure it out). Anyway I didn't change anything except the time (they had not fixed the time right for my timezone !) but atleast was able to get to Efficacy display mode and got my numbers ! Pres 9.6 , Leak .38l/h , AHI 6.1 , AI 0.2 , HI 5.9

From what I've been reading I dont think thats too bad ... my AHI was 48 at the sleep study, so 6 seems like an improvent but still too high, but hey its only day 2 !
