Some of what is being said here assumes the person is fine with their sleep if they start CPAP, which is not always the case if you read the forum regularily. And, we all know (should know) that just being on CPAP and not making diet and livestyle changes after a apnea diagnosis is a slippery slope and can makes things even worse in the future for the person. The best advice for anyone with a commercial license and suspected apnea is to get on a weight loss program lickity split. If you walk into a clinic at close to normal weight, very few questions are asked.
