I had posed the question why you would need a surge protector for a CPAP machine that can just as easily operate on 220 volts as 110. Somebody answered that it may work only in those ranges and not above, below, or in-between. I don't know if this is true or not. However, I use one at home, better safe than sorry (don't use one while traveling, though).
