In addition to the Didgeriddo for sleep apnea some COPD patients use the harmonica for exercise.

In the dim dark pages of history I reasoned that it is not the pressure at the tip of the nose that is important, it is the difference in pressure between the tip of the nose and the interior of the lungs. Recognizing that I could not get below zero pressure inside the lungs, but that it was worth a try. The exercise was vigorous breathing to strengthen the diaphragm. I tried inhaling to full capacity of the lungs
through pursed lips.

As I planned it, I reminded myself that it would probably take longer than four weeks before the exercises would do any good.

I do not remember how long after starting the exercises but I had a gut feeling that something had changed. My colon was removed in 1972 for ulcerative colitis. The feeling was that I did not need to change my appliance as often as I had before starting the exercise.

I had been keeping records on bedtime, time when I got out of the bed, blood pressure, date and time of for changing appliance. Prior to starting the exercise I changed appliance from 13 to 15 times a month. After exercising for a period of time I used 5 or 6 appliances a month.

I reached the conclusion that treating sleep apnea treats colitis. AS you know, it is necessary to perform a sleep study overnight if it is desired to prove an absence of sleep apnea because the deepest sleep and increased probability of apneas is greatest just before awakening in the morning. The time of day for changing the appliance prior to the exercise was about the time I was getting up and the failure mode was "blowout". The appliance failure mode after performing the exercise for a period of time was "leak".

For some the above is ancient history. They have seen it before.

I am requesting assistance in publicity. You may have heard about colitis, vaccines and autism. Brief review: The autistic patients have behavioral problems and some 'biological' disorders. From some research I have concluded that regressive autism is caused by OSA.
The hypoxia, I presume that hypoxia causes the injury to the brain, and the 'biological' disorders actually are the result of mechanical aspects of OSA.

The address below will provide information on my line of reasoning.

(Thanks to Sandman. He hasn't thrown it off for being too long.)

There are 11 new regressive autism diagnoses a day in California. Breast feeding and avoidance of vaccines (or other sources of respiratory infections) will protect against developing autism.

Some mothers may not be able to nurse their baby. There is a vigorous disagreement about the vaccine. The insert with the vaccine states that pancreatitis, diabetes mellitus, diarrhea and otitis media (Ear infection) are adverse reactions to MMR vaccine.

I have had rejections from three journals so far. (Could be I don't write very well) I want to get publicity which will lead to breast feeding and vaccine avoidance to prevent the children from developing regressive autism.

Any ideas? thanks a bunch.
