Thanks guys for writing back. No, he is very open to getting checked out. He seems to be waking up holding his breath and his heart is pounding like it will explode. He is afraid it will blow up. He does this mostly and them sometimes does that combined with running in bed, throwing his pillow and hitting me. He is not a violent person, actually the opposite. It is as if he is holding his breath, like one about to drown, then suddenly they come up for air.. then he takes a big gasp and lunges out with his hands. Not all the time but at least a few times a month. Mostly the heart thing is really bothering him... it pounds so hard.
