You can see my recent post on traveling to Canada. Its really a piece of cake. The CPAP is in its own "luggage" bag that doesnt look conspicous, nobody knows you have it, looks like a very small carryon. The security people are knowedgable about it (or dont care). Its actually less effort then carrying a laptop (I caried both, the laptop is much heavier, bulkier and harder to get through security). Dont let the CPAP machine issue bother you reguarding traveling or hotels. It fit even in the tiny commuter plane overheads with no problem, even where the laptop took some shoving. Its really not an inconvience.

One nice thing I noticed I didnt post ... I was at a 4 day "confrence" ... these things are LONG and tireing. All day 8-5 sitting listening to speakers. Although I had never even up to my Apnea diagnosis really 'noticed' a sleep problem in myself besides my snoring (which only bothered my wife :) ... I have always had a hard time staying awake at these confrences ...typically by afternoon I was dying and couldnt stay awake ... I always figured it was just the setting and "natural".
This time, I had NO PROBLEM staying awake and attentive the entire confrence ! I didnt feel worn out and exausted at the end of every day. It was really a joy ... I've only been on CPAP for 1 1/2 months now ... and I look forward to every night with it.
Even at the hotel, it was relaxing and refreshing and I woke up on time every day for the confrence without struggle.
