Lightning can travel through the AIR for miles. It can travel through dry sand for meters and melt it to glass. It can certianly travel up a 6 foot hose, especially if its wet inside (heated humidifier).

However "can travel" and "likely to" are differnt.
Lightning tends to travel the least resistance path to ground. Unless your sleeping on the dirt, its unlikely to travel up the hose, through you, then through the bed and to the floor and the ground ...
If its already in the outlet ... its only about 1cm to the ground wire ...

I think there is a lot more likely events to worry about then this, but its not impossible.
