In reading the list of cautions on a recently purchased UPS, I find the following warning included:
"DO NOT USE FOR MEDICAL OR LIFE SUPPORT EQUIPMENT! (company name) does not sell products for life support or medical applications. DO NOT use it in any circumstances that would affect operation or safety of any life support equipment or with any medical applications or patient care." Star-Cat, would you describe your APAP as "life support", and intend to seamlessly transition its operation to continue sleeping?
Personally, when I have a power failure, I soon realize it, take my NasalAireII tubes off my face and out of my nose, and call the power and light company.
I don't think the UPS would support the machine for very long, before discharging, anyway. They are usually intended to allow a computer operator to save work, and shut down programs properly.
