I would certainly consider my CPAP as life support. I am now taking a medication that will ensure deep level sleep when I get up to dose. If the power shuts off, I may simply not wake up. Failure is not an option. If I don't take the meidcation, I cannot get stage 3 and 4 sleep, and my chronic pain conditions cvontinue to worsen. If I take it, the conditions improve. I live in a very rural area. Calling the power company is not an option. This power outage was due to a tropical storm. Sometimes it is a downed tree or a blizzard. How long can I hold my breath? I am becoming aware that I may be the firstone to walk this far down this path, and the solution may not be a simple one. Thank yuo for your response, mimi. Star Cat
