engineersteve, the CPAP may only be the indirect agent of the dizziness. one possibility is activation or formation of muyofascial trigger points (MTPs) in a muscle called the sternocleidomastoid, or SCM. MTPs in the clavicular regions of this inverted V-shaped muscle can cause what is called proprioceptor dysfunctions including spatial disorientation ("swimmin' in the head) and less often, vertigo. Dizziness can last for hours, and can be especially strong when yuo trun yuor head quickly, or look up suddenly. They can also cause unintentional veering, causing all manner of crashing into walls and door jambs. Anyone can get them, and they can be treated. Star Cat.
