Like many apnea sufferers I have a catalog of other problems, amongst which is Acid Reflux (GERD). I have used an Auto CPAP for the last 3 years for night-time with excellent results for the apnea and reflux (plus medication)but more recently I have had serious problems during afternoon naps whilst sitting. I had a return of the apnea attacks and reflux incidents, which is rather nasty so I now sit down to watch afternoon television with a mask using my spare machine. So far - so good, feels and looks strange like a frogman without his flippers, there is a big rush to tidy up if the front door bell chimes. I just wondered if others are forced into these measures during the daytime, I have to because I have no warning that I am falling asleep, not feeling particularly tired - maybe it is the boring afternoon programs in Britain.
