Posted by herk on September 21, 2008 at 05:21:41:I have relied on a CPap longer than I can remember. Since 2001, I have been using my second Cpap. (A Remstar Plus) I started having trouble with the power switch a few weeks ago. Although the buttons were lit, I had to hold down the power switch for long periods of time to make the fan go on. Now, the machine won't start at all. Lucky for me I kept the old machine and am using that, although it sounds as if it is on it's last leg too.
I need a reliable machine that runs.. So what do I do?a. Do I find somewhere to service my machine? (How much will that cost?)
b. Do I go back to my Pulmonary Doc and ask for more sleep tests and a new prescription for a new machine? (I have two health insurances)
c. Is there an alternative I am not thinking of?
