EnglishEric, I have experience with Ambien and with Xyrem, although not at the same time :-} I have had no problems, but pleae be careful because you need to know how YOU will react. Each of us is very different. If you normally sleep alone, it might be wise to ask a friend to stay over and monitor your sleep. Make sure that your doctor knows about anything that might affect your sleeping, including allergens, etc that could affect your breathing, and any medications including over the counter meds and herbs that might be central nervous system depressants. You may have to deleted regular meds that come under that category (even herbs) for a specific span of time before you go to sleep. Star Cat
