My sleep doctor recommended an initial follow-up retitration at eight to ten weeks when I was diagnosed in 1999. When they retested they raised my pressure from 11 to 13.

Also, definitely use a heated humidifier, and turn it to the highest setting. If you get rainout (condensation) try one or more of the following:
1. Place the humidifier at a lower elevation than your head. This will allow water to drain back into the reservoir. This you can do immediately.
2. Raise the temperature in the room.
3. Insulate the hose and/or get a heated hose.
4. Lower the humidifier to the highest setting that doesn’t create this problem.

Also, blow your nose immediately prior to putting on CPAP. Blow it hard to make sure that you clear out everything that you can.
