Posted by asterix on October 01, 2008 at 18:13:49:I have been using a Remstar Plus for 7 years, but recently discovered that I needed to up my pressure from 7cm to 9cm. I am having trouble because that is a bit too much pressure when I exhale. Its actually irritating my lungs.
I have tried Remstar Pro with C-Flex and Goodnight 420G, which adjust pressure as you exhale (the Goodnight does more than that), and my partner went ballistic. The reason is that these machines are changing the motor speed with each breath. The result is, that while the machine is "quiet" the noise and especially the pitch of the noise is changing all the time. Drove her crazy, and frankly I don't like it either.
So I am looking for some recommendations for a machine that 1) will drop the pressure when I exhale (I like the way the Pro works because I can adjust the amount that it drops), but 2) keeps a fairly even amount of noise and especially the pitch of the noise.
any ideas?
