As I reread your note and thought about it, I continue to be confused about your testing. Things may have changed since I was tested 4-5 years ago, but at that time, I had what is called a split study. I was hooked up with all the wires and sensors and slept (as best I could) for 2-3 hours while the tech monitored my sleep and confirmed the existence and severity of my apneas (the diagnostic portion). Then they woke me and hooked me up to CPAP and I went back to sleep while they adjusted the pressure until all apneas were eliminated (the titration portion of the study). I know your post didn't include all the details, but I have a sense that you didn't have that kind of split study. The information you gave sounds very confusing to me. It sounds like you slept with the CPAP for the entire study? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
