With oxygen desats down to 74% every night, CPAP will be a lifesaver for you. My desats were down only to 83% and I lost so much cognitive ability, I was like a zombie, could not remember what was written on a piece of paper for 15 seconds. Many others who have posted on here reported the same experience. Sleeping blood oxygen is supposed to be in the 90-95% range at all times. Perhaps you could find an online DME that will give you a better deal. I purchased my autopap(because my insurance would not cover a purchase and I would have had to "rent" at $35 a month for the rest of my life) online. Check local online sellers that are reputable in your country.

Good luck!
