Like SleeptyTimeGal, I wonder why your pressure was lowered by 5 cm. That's a significant difference, and your body may be crying out for more pressure to allow you to breathe effortlessly. That's why I never use the ramp feature. I feel I'm not getting enough air until the machine is producing the full 10cm that I'm used to. Like her, I feel "smothered."

On the other hand, I always feel compelled to speak up for those of us who find a heated humidifier to be an unnecessary annoyance. Most houses already have sufficient humidity in the ambient air and do not need addditional humidification. In fact, I don't like the feel of overly humid air. That may be a minority opinion, but I am truly puzzled every time someone posts here as if heated humidification is a "requirement" for successful CPAP. Further, my equipment stays cleaner with less likelihood of bacterial growth or mold.
