I'm with you, BreathingEZ. I had a perceptive respiratory therapist that set me up with my CPAP; Remstar with C-FLEX, and NasalAire II interface. She said to begin without a humidifier, then decide if I think one might be helpful. It may be a minority opinion on this forum, but at least you and I share it!

I agree exactly about the equipment staying cleaner, and there being less likelihood of bacterial growth or mold. That was over 4 years ago, and I haven't given a humidifier a thought. I eventually made my own elastic headband for the NasalAire II, with the connection to the hose behind my back. Since I sleep on my sides and stomach, that works great, and doesn't mess up my hairdo. I have it crafted so it keeps my tubing taunt, and well fitted to my nostrils.
My pressure is "7", so I have less challenge there, but I never use the ramp.
Good luck, as it takes time to find your best fit on these things.
