My way of looking at IBS and OSA is the "peanut butter jar" routine. When the airway is blocked the diaphragm makes multiple attempts at increased effort (10 to 15 times normal) to overcome the obstruction.
This extra effort by the diaphragm 'hammers' the intestines, pancreas and kidneys causing colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, diabetes and gout.
