Higher Pressures - Bloating

Diagnosed severe OSA in Nov. '07. Subsequently started BiPAP therapy. I sleep at 18/16 (have gained some weight and pressures up since starting treatment). I have no trouble anymore falling asleep; however, awaken after 2 - 3 hours (several times/week) with mildly to moderately uncomfortable bloating. I sleep w/ a full-face mask due to chronic, intermittent nasal congestion; thus, assume I'm swallowing more air than most. After waking the first time, usually toss-n-turn the rest of the night.

Can anyone advise as to effectiveness/safety of use (long-term?) of the OTC anti-gas medications?

I plan on trying (out of exercise routine currently) to lose the weight which should be help lower pressure requirments somewhat and may help w/ gassing.

Thanks!
