I have cured my connection problem by having my vent on my left side and running the hose under my left armpit, holding the hose in place all night. I formed a loop in the hose and there is no movement at the point of contact.

If there is any movement you can run a circle of female velcro around the hose and sew a piece of male velcro to the underside of the arm of a tee shirt and hook them together.

It never worked for me to have the hose come from overhead.
