Hi - I've been a cpap user for 7 years. I am recovering from a bacterial upper respiratory infection. I'm on the 3rd day of antibiotics, but I've been using my machine even for the 5 days prior to the antibiotic, coughing, sneezing, etc. I use a ResMed S8 Vantage Autoset with heated humidifier, a 6' flexible hose, and a Fisher Paykel Flexifit 406 mask.

What kind of cleaning is necessary now? I usually just wash my mask in dish soap and water and let it air dry. I do the hose the same way, change the filter in the machine once a month, and occasionally fill the water cannister with vinegar and let it sit for an hour or so. But it occurred to me that this infection could be lingering in the machine, even though I'm taking meds. Is there some other kind of cleaning that needs to be done? Does anything need to be replaced?
