Posted by musician on November 25, 2008 at 04:03:32:Maybe I'm in the wrong place, but I've been having poor sleep for 11 years now (lost my career etc.). Most of my life I was a mouth breather. I now breath through my nose and over the years my sinuses have been clearing. What I'd like to know is when nose breathing should the mouth be shut off by the tongue/soft palette? i.e. if you open the mouth when nose breathing no air comes in? Should I then feel some sort of tightness at the back as the soft palette/tongue lock? Thanks if anyone can help.
