I am new to BiPap. I was originally on a standard machine and had problems with that then was put on an auto machine with no luck.
I recently went in and had another tests done and was put on a BiPap and 20 and 16 with my ramp starting out at 6. After a couple days I found it easier to breath under pressure and had to increase the ramp pressure to 8 because I felt like I was suffocating. Is this normal to feel more comfortable with the pressure after a while?

I also found out that when I wake up I have swallowed a lot of air and belch a lot. I also have alot of gas. My wife doesn't seem to be bothered by the belching other than giving me a look of how can you belch for almost a minute, but the gas is just too much for her. Am I alone on this or is this normal? Is there anything I can do about it?
Thank all.
