I didn't read whether or not you have tried CPAP. If you have not done so, I highly recommend you try it. As DH said, CPAP is often highly successful and non-invasive. It is the gold standard when dealing with OSA.
If you decide to go surgical, check out whether or not you need the controvercial operation known as UPPP. It is often thrown into the coctail without warrant, and it has a riskier profile than many doctors are aware of. Most effective is the MMA = GA combination. It can be administered either with or without the UPPP. Many people have had very good success without UPPP. I recommend your seeing an expert; either Dr. L in Palo Alto or else Dr. Jeffrey Prinsell in Atlanta. These docs will give you an informed opinion. Caution is of the utmost importance as surgery can make you either much better off if done properly, or (if poorly contrived), much worse off.
