I started my CPAP treatment about six weeks ago and the first thing I noticed was chest irritation. That morphed into a nasty chest infection which I am now treating. I've started cleaning my mask daily - I was doing it every other day and treating with vinegar water, but I really think that my problem is the irritation from the forced air. The bacteria are probably always around. I don't think that the CPAP was introducing infection, per. se. but that's hard to know.
