The following of this forum is a bit low and doesn't suite its self to be an emergency information resource, so I don't know how you did the other evening.
You've got a couple of questions out there and here's what my advice is: Get a passover or steam humidifier for your house or bedroom in addition to the CPAP humidifier you alread use, assuming that PAP humidifier is working at it's proper level. Dryness in the winter months can give people a lot of problems and is helped by more mositure in the air. Also, drink more water and Orange Juice, less hot chocolate or other beverages that contain milk, and/or cut back on dairy prodects in general.
About finding a mask that works well, welcome to the club. Anyone who's been on PAP for a while has tried a bunch of masks. Best, though, to switch your purchases to an internet based seller, since the prices are lower. You will need to front the money for purchasing a mask, then submit the receipt to your insurance co for payment according to the terms of your plan. If you don't know how to find an internet seller, you do a search on 'CPAP supplies' and you'll find a lot of sites.
