Barb (Seattle): I just came from a qualifying session to see if I was a candidtae for LASIK (and I am). I talked to the doc about mask shapes and sizes, and he was concerned.

I am going to try another one in the next few days - a nose-pillow type, which has a different configuration of head straps, and - I was given to believe - it may be the ticket in terms of fitting with the mask they give you to wear after the surgery. We'll see. The doc was really, really swell - a good listener, and very informative, and it really felt as though he is 'on my side.' That's a very good feeling, going in to surgery. Mine's on 5 JA 09. Good luck to you.
