Of course you're exhausted. On top of the untreated sleep apnea, you're probably struggling with a hangover from the Xanax. The Xanax is not giving you restful, restorative sleep; it's drugging you through the apneas. You still didn't say how or why CPAP and BiPap made your sleep apnea worse and how that diagnosis was made. Many people have a difficult adjustment period with CPAP with less sleep initially, but most of these problems can be sorted out and worked through. Abandoning treatment for sleep apnea is not a good idea and if your doctor is going along with this, I think you need another doctor. What's the point of another sleep study? I'm sorry, but from what you've said (and, admittedly, the information is very sketchy), this sounds like an insane situation.
