Let me clarify. When I used the cpap and bipap, the apneas got much worse, especially when the pressures were increased. People with complex sleep apnea often do not do very well on regular cpap and bipap and will continue to have apneas no matter what. Hence, I'm going for a sleep study to be tested on a newer machine that controls apnea that is resistant to cpap and bipap called an adapt asv. You're right, this is an insane situation, which is why I feel like I'm standing at an abyss right now.
