Gremlin,

I have tried a mouthpiece before. They do work. I tried the TV kind with you boil and also had one specially made by a sleep apnea dentist. The difference was huge. The advertised on TV one cut up the inside of my mouth. When I tried the one made by the dentist, it fit my teeth exactly. It fit like a glove.

I recommend that if you are going to do it, you get a professional dentist to make it for you. They have ones with springs etc.

I found that, while it did work, it tended to pull my teeth out of alignment slightly. I did not have the kind of appliance with a spring. I believe that that one is better. I am going to give you a good website which has info about mouthpieces. There are about five pages of info on various kinds of sleep apnea dental appliances.

Good luck.
