8 is not a high pressure. Chest soreness initially is not uncommon, especially if you have been a shallow breather all your life. Are you using a heated humidifier? If you are, you might be one of the people who don't do well with it. If you are not using heated humidity, I would give that a try. If this doesn't resolve itself shortly, you might want to see a pulmonologist to rule out any other lung problems. Good luck.
