Trouble breathing during the day

I have been using a cpap for about six years and sleep very well. In the last few months I have noticed a shortness of breath and a breathless feeling feeling when exhaling during the day. It feels like this may have something to do with my cpap use over a number of years. I use a room temp. humidifier on my cpap. Anyone have a similar experience?
