Yes, you're missing something...CPAP is a perscription medical device for a reason. If the pressure setting isn't correct, it can have bad effects on breathing and could indeed cause shortness of breath the next day, depending on the person. Actually, the person posting the original question leaves us with more questions than answers. If this has been going on for several months, they should have seen a doctor by now. Since they are posting after several months of this, the time is right to mention the machine should be checked out.
