I can forward a different opinion on this. If you suspect the 'smart' card is full, you can remove the smart card and see if that fixes the problem. It can also be that the Remstar uses a CMOS backup battery for the program values and this battery may be getting weak - hence the beeping to reset the numbers. These batteries can be purchased easily, but it would require some skill to dis-assemble the dust cover of the machine and replace the battery. This is definately not a job for you if you don't have a back up CPAP to fall back on if you damage something. What you're doing by hitting the buttons upon power up is getting the machine into clincal mode.
