If you've only been "verbally warned" about work performance issues, and if you were requesting time off under the Family Medical Leave Act, you might want to contact your nearest office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to see if your rights have in any way been violated. I'm under the impression that performance issues must usually be discussed with the employee and documented in writing. However, even if you were to be reinstated in that office, I suspect they might find ways to make your life miserable. Good luck to you.
