Fatique can be a symptom of other problems such as anemia, undiagnosed, untreated allergies, shift work, anxiety, too much exercise, electrolyte imbalance, low blood sugar, to mention a few. You may have more than one sleep disorder, such as restless leg syndrome. Also, your pressure needs might vary considerably from night to night; a sleep study is a snapshot of a single night and I agree with the person who suggested an autopap. Get the software so you can download your nightly stats to your computer and monitor the nightly variations.

Exercising so close to bedtime might be causing problems. You might want to read up on sleep hygiene; there's an excellent book entitled "The Promise of Sleep" by Dr. Dement, or even just google 'sleep hygiene.' You might need to turn the heat up on your humidifier to alleviate the dry mouth problem. If you get rainout, an insulated hose usually resolves the problem. Or are you possibly mouth breathing during the night? That would negate any benefit from CPAP.

In any event, using the CPAP intermittently clouds the issues. Please use it faithfully regardless of how you feel and then rule out various other possibilities one by one. The fact that you do derive some benefit from it some of the time indicates you do need it. Good luck to you.
