Posted by Red on February 28, 2009 at 06:20:31:I have been using the machine for about 10 years now. About 4 months ago I woke up with a loss of hearing in my right ear, and now have a hissing sound, off and on, more like the white sound when you lose the picture on the tv. Checkup by 2 ENT's, including an MRI show no abnormalties in my ear. My cpap is set at 10.
Could this sudden loss of hearing be a side effect of the machine??
My ENT's say that I probably got a virus in that ear and it may have killed some of the nerves. Yet somedays, the hissing abates and I can hear somewhat normal on my right ear.
