Hi, when I read your posting it was as if I had written it. I have been treated for severe OSA for a year now, went untreated probably for 20. I thought I would never get used to it, went through 18 masks and settled on the last one standing. I have struggled with it for a year, tried a couple more but keep going back to the Resmed Swift Mirage. It still leaks but at an acceptable level. I am only getting the hang of it now, the back of the neck strap should be snug but not tight, I have tried it every which way but I move a lot because I have 6 sleep disorders including RLS and PLMD. It goes in cycles, I have had to face up to the fact that I will get good nights and bad nights. The alternative is not acceptable. It would be like driving without my seat belt now. I have fallen asleep without it and have regretted it. My sleep test showed up to 158 apneas per hour. I am on Ativan, Requip and zopiclone (Ambien), low dosage. Don't worry about getting off Clonazipam at the moment, it's too hard when you are facing all the rest, baby steps. There is a new Resmed Swift Mirage out esp. for women, and a corresponding one for men. The humidifier helps with the dry mouth I assume you have one. I really do emphasize with you. Good luck and hang in. Don't give up hope.
