At your age many people look at non-cpap options. There are surgical techniques that have proven to be very successful so you should check out the non-cpap options. (All options are discussed on the Non-CPAP Forum)

Until you can set up an alternate treatment CPAP can be a life saver. The longer you wait the greater the chance of permanent brain, heart and -/or other damage. With your history I wouldn't keep waiting to do something, treatment is critical.
