I know the pain meds cause daytime sleepiness, and it lowers my blood pressure. But I have problems breathing from both cancer and the opiates so its hard. I had a sleep study because I was waking up gasping for air at home, but I did not do that at the hospital. I had 0 apneas! None! Idid have RERA in REM and non REM sleep. Is that significant? I had 42 in REM and 27 in NREM. I had 30 and 34 spontaneous arousals respectively. The ultimate diagnosis is hypersomnia and no cpap necessary. I think CPAP would greatly help me. I sleep with oxygen at night, and when I dont, I don't sleep as well, excet in the case of the sleep study.
What do those reras mean and is there any way to get a cpap without apnea on the study with my other values? Thanks,
