You may know that apnea can both mimic angina and lead to angina, so the angina may well be a sign that your apnea has gotten worse. Get tested when you can, or perhaps even try CPAP to see if it makes any difference.

You probably have been taught about good sleep hygiene (e.g., always going to bed and getting up at the same time, and allowing at least 7 hours for sleep). I found that it is easy to make excuses: that if I went to bed late, I fell asleep faster and slept for more of the night, so I seemed to get the same hours of sleep as if I went to bed earlier. When I forced myself to be more consistent, however, I found I was getting more rest even without any other treatment.

Also, you need to know your own body. For example, experts say not to exercise before bed. However, I sleep best after exercising and taking a shower. Based on what I've read, I may not be typical but I'm not unusual either. I think exercise helps to clear my mind so I am more ready for sleep. It may also increase my serotonin levels.
